Salmon School and Snow Falling on Cedars - Adult Ribbon Skirt - L/XL
This was my submission for the Autumn 2023 show with @cvartscouncil entitled Cedar: A Celebration.
"To tell the story of Cedar is to tell the story of Salmon."
We have a vision of elements in nature existing as autonomous and independent, but nothing in nature develops or endures on its own.
To tell the story of Cedar, is to tell the story of Salmon.
The nitrogen needed for the lush growth of our rainforests of Cedar giants that dominate our West Coast landscape must be brought to it from the ocean. Every passing year, Salmon brings the life-giving nutrients to nourish our forests from the sea into our mountains and streams and Bear, Eagle and River Otter are the instruments of this dispersion.
Without Salmon's sacrifice, we would not have Cedar's story.

This two panelled tapered skirt is 36” long, and the waistband measurements are 36” unstretched and 48” completely stretched. It has two, forest green pockets at the hip, and can be slightly altered for a fee. The tapered style of this skirt is more flattering than the traditional straight skirt and gives a wide, flowing base to this beautiful skirt.
Mannequin is a M/L with a 32” waist and this skirt fits quite loosely on it. I am 5”7 with a 40” waist and this skirt fits me snugly. It will fit a L-XL.
