Beaded Poppy Kit

Have you ever wanted to make your own poppy pin? Now is your chance!

This tutorial is suitable for beginners, and I have written the instructions to be as easy to follow as possible, but some knowledge of sewing or stitching would be helpful. Provided in a PDF format, complete with step-by-step pictures and a troubleshooting guide on flat beadwork.

This kit and instructional is not limited to Indigenous or First Nations people. We are share in the respect we show our veterans, both Indigenous and Non-indigenous and flat beadwork is not exclusively an Indigenous technique, but adopted and modified from ancient beadwork techniques that are part of all our heritages.

Everything you need to make two large poppy pins from my original pattern with porcupine quills is included in this kit, including brain-tanned and smoked deer skin for the backings, glue and your very own pair of Japanese beading snips! Each kit will also include some bookmarks and stickers (subject to change designs based on availability), along with all the beads, beading thread, needles and patterns that you will need all delivered in a cute canvas bag!
